At 3GPM we are more than just generalist advisers on
how to carry out workplace training.
There are many good consultants and training institutions
capable of that. We specialise in all aspects of on the job competence, concentrating on, amongst other things, the outcomes
of training and education and not just the processes. In other words we look beyond training to the where and how individuals
and teams must learn the 101 other skills and knowledge to be an effective and competent team member, team leader, manager,
or business unit director.
Moreover, we recognise that the reality of worklife is
that such concentration must be on the skills and knowledge that are appropriate to environments that are complex and at times
quite chaotic. We move beyond the traditional approaches and create contexts and conditions where learning to do one’s
job takes precedence over learning how others may have done their’s.
The advice and guidance we provide is based on principles
and systems applied by the world’s best organisations, including many of the Fortune 100 companies. This includes:
-
The development of competency or performance standards
that clearly and concisely identify the skills and knowledge needed to fulfil each and every function throughout the
organisation. Here, for the first time, is a clear picture of exactly what each person must do to help their organisation
achieve its business and strategic goals and objectives.
-
The recognition of the environment within which these functions
must be performed – environments that may include ever-changing client requirements, rules and procedures, and external
legislations.
-
The development of world-class performance management policies
and procedures – the aim of which is to give the organisation its best chance of achieving its goals and objectives
through the one asset that never depreciates the longer it is held onto – its people.
-
Capability –
not just competency – based training and assessment processes and systems that help the organisation to design, implement
and manage the many activities that will build tomorrow’s organisation today.
-
The identification of the right people to fill the critical
functions important to the achievement of an organisation’s goals and objectives – taking the pain and anguish
out of recruiting or promoting staff.
Few training advisers go beyond offering training solutions
to what is quite often far more complex problems. We recognise that worklife is complex therefore our aim is to help our clients
identify what they and their clients need and then work with them to achieve it.
